Emily Baum, Mastercard Prepaid Management Services
Emily Baum has been a key commercial contributor to the prepaid industry for the last ten years, having worked with some of the most talented people in the payments industry. Driven by a love of innovation and a creative view of payments, Emily has worked on some of the most successful products in the UK and European markets - starting with the launch of the "Utility Warehouse discount club", which remains one of the most successful Mastercard programmes to date.
Emily went on to work with the team at Raphaels Bank to secure their position as the largest issuer in the UK. She then moved to PrePay Solutions to grow their customer base and manage some of their key open loop accounts - growing their European market share. Emily joined Mastercard Prepaid Management Services in 2016.
Emily has worked with such brands as PayPal, Uber, EE, Ebay, Virgin, TUI and Santander to name a few and continues to focus in the elements that challenge prepaid - mass customer acquisition and revenue generation.
Paul Swinton, Payment Card Solutions
Paul Swinton is the CEO and co-founder of Payment Card Solutions (PCS), a UK based prepaid programme manager. Paul founded the company with his business partner over 10 years ago following a successful 15 year career in management consulting where he worked across the globe in a diversity of sectors including retail, consumer products and technology advising small and large companies on business strategy, process reengineering and technology projects.
Over the last decade, Paul has developed a passion for prepaid and has helped his organisation achieve significant growth by delivering customer-led solutions.
PCS built and owns its proprietary technology platform and constantly enhances it to meet the evolving needs of its customer base. The company's agility means that it continuously offers relevant and practical solutions to hundreds of corporate clients with thousands of cardholders. Having started in the consumer GPR arena, PCS now primarily focuses its offering on corporate expense, payout and incentive solutions; utilising its own products and leveraging distribution partners to scale delivery.
