PIF ANNOUNCES BOARD APPOINTMENTS

9 March 2016 - The Prepaid International Forum (PIF), the not-for-profit trade association for the prepaid sector, this week welcomed four new members and the reappointment of three existing members to its Board of Directors.

Sunaina Atkar, SVP, Business Development, IDT Financial Services, Chris Ellis, Director, Bowsprit International, Siobhan Moore, Senior Associate, Locke Lord LLP and Jill Trembeth, Commercial Director, Black and White Consulting join the board as non-executive directors with immediate effect.

It has also been confirmed that Craig James, CEO, Neopay, Peter Sidenius, Managing Director, Edgar, Dunn & Company and Mike Smith, Commercial Director, Raphaels Bank have all been reappointed to the Board for a further three-year term.

Formed in 2006 PIF is dedicated to advancing the success of the prepaid industry to the benefit of its members and their customers. Members represent organisations involved in the supply of prepaid products and services and form an influential community of businesses committed to delivering high standards from the industry. PIF supports its members through a wide range of events, working groups, training workshops and networking opportunities and plays a central role representing the voice of the prepaid sector to consumer bodies, regulators, government departments and the media.

Commenting on the election results PIF Chairman Craig James said,

“I would like to congratulate the newly appointed and re-appointed members of the PIF Board. They each bring tremendous industry knowledge as well as leadership expertise to our already outstanding Board and this ensures that our members continue to be well represented.   

 “I would also like to thank our retiring Board members Robert Courtneidge, Global Head of Cards & Payments at Locke Lord LLP, for his outstanding work, leadership and commitment to PIF over the last decade and Judith Rinearson a partner with Bryan Cave LLP for her legal and regulatory expertise.

 “We start the second quarter of 2016 with a re-energised Board and steadfast focus on building even more value for members and maximizing our contribution to advancing the success of the industry”.

The member-elected PIF Board serves in a governance and fiduciary role. In addition to setting policies and priorities the board establishes PIF’s strategic direction and identifies opportunities and new initiatives that benefit members and the prepaid industry as a whole.
